Areas of Responsibility:

Will: Oversee mixing of plaster to desired consistency. Oversee scaffolding set up. Use trowel to spread plaster over lath or masonry base. Use darby to smooth plaster and will use float to insure plaster is applied in uniform thickness. Apply scratch, brown, or finish coats of plaster to wood, metal or board lath. Use scratcher to roughen undercoat in order for undercoat to bond with new plaster. Use various techniques in order to create decorative textures in finish coat. Mold and install decorative and ornamental plaster trim and panels, including cornices and moldings. Cast moldings using different methods. Mix plaster and spread plaster in forms using trowel. Shape plaster by hand using template. Once plaster is dry and hardened, will cut trim to size, by hand. Install trim by applying coat of plaster to wall and pressing trim into place. Cast cornices and moldings by nailing wooden strips to call and ceiling, serving as guide for template. Use trowel to apply plaster to ceiling and walls, and then push template over plaster. Remove excess plaster until desired effect is attained. 40 hrs/wk. 4 yrs. exp.
