We are a national decorating company that represents Costco Wholesale across the country and Canada as well as many department stores. Through these locations we offer an in-home decorating service that helps customers pick out their window coverings, carpet, draperies and bedding. Everything we do is custom and designed for a more middle to upscale clientele. In other words, the do-it-yourselfer would not be a good candidate for our service. We work with hundreds of designers and installers across the country.

I am looking to hire people for our upcoming show in the territory to work as an independent contractor (you would pay your own taxes and there are no medical benefits). The job is to work in the Costco warehouses at the kiosks telling people about our service and, if they are interested, getting them to sign up to have a scheduler call them to make an appointment with a decorator. It has been a great success in the markets that we have started in.

The pay is $40 for a four-hour shift, with about 8-32 hours a week of work. In addition there is an incentive pay of $10 for each appointment that results in a scheduled appointment with a decorator and $20 additional if the customer buys. It is not a hard sell attitude and you are not chasing people down, we simply want to extend the offer of getting their information so that they don't have to remember to call the number etc.

Event dates: Sept 13 to October 3, everyday from 10-2p and 2p-6p shifts. You may work both shifts up to 32 hours in a week. Extra compensation for set up and take down of materials for event (some light lifting may apply). This is part time temporary work but has a lot of potential for extra income. Applicants must be able to stand/sit for their shift.
