of Responsibility:
The National Park Foundation is the official non-profit partner of the
National Park Service. The mission of the NPF is to strengthen the enduring
connection between the American people and their National Parks. This paid
internship is a six-month assignment and will report directly to the Director
of Development and Special Events.
Responsibilities are, but not limited to, as follows:

Assist in the planning and production of Foundation Board , donor
meetings, and other special events as assigned.

Assist in the production of NPF publications sent to both internal and
external audiences.

Research and prepare reports on prospective corporations, foundations, and
major donors.

Assist in the production of Board & corporate meeting materials.
-
Assist in the maintaining of Board and donor files, contact information,
and biographical information.

Produce briefing materials for key development meetings attended by the
senior staff of the Foundation.

Assist with office general duties such as front desk coverage, mail
sorting and distribution, and light kitchen maintenance.
Position requirements:
-
Self-starter who works successfully with little supervision or
instruction.

Excellent communication skills with both external and internal audiences

Excellent writing skills
-
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to design and
produce publications in Microsoft Publisher a plus.

Experience with special events
-
Experience using and other Internet research tools.
