Plan and implement sales program and merchandise policies. Research fashion trends to determine clothing and accessory lines to be carried by company. Analyze customer demands and specifications to suggest most appropriate purchases. Recommend modifications to increase product marketability. Assist advertising personnel in creating ad campaign and determining which media the advertisement will be placed. Visit selling floor to ensure goods are properly displayed. Determine mark up and mark down percentage to ensure profit, based on estimated budget and profit goals. Determine amount of merchandise to be stocked and direct buyers in purchasing supplies for resale. Assist in sales promotion programs.
