Areas of Responsibility:

Senior Dentist.  Plan, coordinate & participate in the practice of General Dentistry, coordinating & integrating 2 dental clinics serving low-income communities,  predominantly minority population. Supervise Dentist who: Practice general Dentistry, including preventive, restorative, prosthetics, oral surgery, diseases, injuries and malformations of teeth and gums, and periodontal oriented treatments.  Examine patient to diagnose condition and plan treatment.  Use dental instruments, x-rays, medication and surgical implements.  Perform cleaning, fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, root canals on anterior & posterior teeth, endodontic surgery, pedodontics, periodontics geriatrics, tooth replacements, (permanent and removables), etc.; instruct and/or administer anesthesia; fabricate space maintainers designed for patients; construct and place bridges, dentures, and obtruding appliances suitable for growing arches, counsel and advise patients on dental growth, preventive oral and dental hygiene.  General dentistry concentrating on primary patient care.  DDS degree + 7 yrs. exp or Master's + 2 yrs. exp. Suitable combination of education, training or exp. acceptable.
