Provide social and clinical services to emotionally troubled children and adolescents and their families. Services are provided at a day treatment school for children and adolescents whose needs cannot be met in a special education public school setting. Conduct individual therapy and crisis intervention, and conduct group and family therapy; diagnose students problems and consult with parents, guardians, teachers and other school personnel to determine possible causes of problems; maintain case history records and prepare reports; assist adolescents and their families with finding resources in the community; and share responsibilities for on-call emergency consultation and crisis intervention.
