Plan design & supervise architectural modifications, remodeling and updates of industrial, commercial & residential buildings to increase their value; organize every project, including space planning, design of water facilities, air-conditioning unit, interior unit, cabinetry, lighting fixtures & furniture; design total interior environment with emphasis on both the functional & the aesthetic elements; supervise advanced three-dimensional drafting as well as computer aided drafting & design; subcontract & supervise different contractors in the fabrication, installation & arrangement (i.e. carpeting, fixtures, accessories, draperies, paint, wall coverings, art work, furniture & related items) involved in the executions of the designs & coordinate their activities & those of their employees. Confer with client to determine architectural preferences, amenities, purpose & function of environment, allowance, types of construction color scheme & permanent fixtures to be installed & other factors which affect planning interior environments &/or improving lifestyle; formulate environmental plan to be practical, aesthetic & conducive to intended purposes by integrating finds with knowledge of interior design; work hand-in-hand with other professionals (i.e. architects, landscape architects, etc) to integrate work with theirs. Bachelor's degree in interior design (or equiv-combination of university court work + exp) + 1 yr. exp. 40 hrs/wk.
