Teach elemental natural and social science, personal hygiene, colors, numbers, alphabets, shapes, music, art, crafts, story-time, singing, sign-language instruction, and literature to children from 2 to 5 years old in both English and Spanish, to promote their physical, mental, and social development: Plan & implement age appropriate programs, activities and lessons. 

Supervise activities, such as field visits, group discussions, and dramatic play acting, to stimulate students' interest in and broaden understanding of their physical and social environment. Foster cooperative social behavior through games and group projects to assist children in forming satisfying relationships with other children and adults. Encourage students in singing, dancing, rhythmic activities, and in use of art materials, to promote self-expression and appreciation of aesthetic experience. Instruct children in practices of personal cleanliness and self care. 

Provide an independent assessment of an individual's competence. Alternate periods of strenuous activity with periods of rest or light activity to avoid over-stimulation and fatigue. Observe children to detect signs of ill health or emotional disturbance, and to evaluate progress. Discuss students' problems and progress with parents. Capitalize on children's play to further language development (storytelling and acting games), improve social skills (working together to build a neighborhood in a sandbox), role playing (house, doctor/dentist visits) and introduce scientific and mathematical concepts (balancing and counting blocks when building a bridge or mixing colors when painting). 

Use a less structured approach to teach preschool children, including small group lessons, one-on-one instruction, and learning through creative activities, such as art, dance, and music. Play and hands-on teaching. Teach letter recognition, phonics, numbers, and awareness of nature and science utilizing knowledge in pedagogy, special methodology, observation, school organization, teaching practice. 40 hrs/wk.  2 yrs. exp. + 1 yr. training Child development + Credential.
