This position is a high visibility member of the Warner College of Natural Resources, interfacing daily with Dean, Associate Deans, faculty, staff, students, and other university entities. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple priorities and projects, demonstrating creativity, flexibility and strong problem solving skills. Candidate will report directly to the Dean of the College. This position will embrace the mission of the college and facilitate its programs. The recipient must have experience working with highly interdisciplinary faculty and student groups, who cross institutional boundaries. The successful applicant must have a positive attitude, and an ability to get along well with faculty and staff. The applicant must also have a strong work ethic, a willingness to serve in a broad variety of roles as needed, and dedication to the mission of the college. Essential to the job is a proven ability to facilitate multiple projects in a highly organized manner. Ability to develop and maintain electronic communications is required. The individual should demonstrate a capability to provide multiple levels of support for the education, development, recruiting, and coordination needs of the program. The individual must demonstrate creativity, leadership, and the skills needed to work successfully with diverse groups. Experience in working collaboratively with teams is desirable. Duties: This person will report directly to the Dean. The person represents the Dean and manages day to day operations. This includes high level communication with internal and external constituencies to represent and uphold the vision, values, and goals of the Warner College of Natural Resources and Colorado State University. Other responsibilities include the following:
Minimum Qualifications: At least five years progressively responsible experience in providing effective administrative support in a fast paced environment is required. Desirable Qualifications:
Strong communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to maintain positive relationships. Excellent ability to promote a culture of support to administrators and staff. Problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Prioritize tasks and respond effectively to last minute requests. Strong ability to exercise considerable initiative, independent judgment and discretion. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel. Knowledge of College and University processes and act as a resource for such administrative directives as the University Code, College Code, College Operations Policy, College Strategic Planning and priorities, Physical Development Plan, Tenure and Promotion, Sabbatical Requests, and Faculty Reappointments, Evaluations, Mid-Point Comprehensive Reviews, and Post-TenureReviews.
