Auto Mechanic, Diesel- Diagnose adjust, repair or overhaul all types of diesel automobiles. Repair and overhaul foreign and domestic diesel fueled automobiles Plan work procedure, using charts, technical manuals, and experience. Use hydraulic jack or hoist, to gain access to mechanical units bolted to underside of vehicle. Remove unit, such as engine, transmission, or differential, using wrenches and hoist. Disassemble unit and inspect parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and thickness gauges. Repair or replace parts.
