Apply principles of cost accounting to conduct studies which provide detailed cost information for the purchasing of merchandize for wholesale, distribution and retail to its target, the Hispanic market. Merchandise includes, but is not limited to, sports items, baptismal and special event items, novelties, gifts, western-wear, mariach's clothes (Mexican folklore). Quincianera and formalwear including accessories, as well as Mexican movies. The detailed cost accounting is not supplied by general accounting systems: Plan, study and collects data to determine costs of product, importation, exportation, wholesaling, distribution and retailing of each item and determine the profit and selling price from acquisition to its destination. Assess cost effectiveness of products and projects by tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops. Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors. Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products by analyzing business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses and to provide advice. Analyze data obtained and records results. Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, production methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs. Analyze actual production costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Develop cost accounting system. Appraise and evaluate equipment for sale, acquisition, or tax purposes. Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 2 yrs. exp. 40 hrs/wk.
